ELF Contouring Blush & Bronzer

Afternoon beauties! I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas!

Today I've got a fabulous little product I picked up the ELF Cosmetics 50% off sale a few weeks ago. The product itself is from the Studio Range where the packaging really reminds me of Nars, the same soft matte feel with rounded edges. It also features a large clear mirror in the top of the compact which is great for travel and ease of use.

The blush & bronze duo I picked up was Antigua a bright pink blush with a gentle but hardly noticeable silver shimmer, I adore this blush and have been using it every day since I got it, It's super pigmented so only a little is needed but it's also effortlessly blendable and I find it suits my pale skin tone great.

On the other hand, I'm not to keen on the Bronzer, while it does make a perfect contouring blush it really does need the lightest of hands. I just touch it ever so slightly in the powder and that's more then enough for me, the shade is far to dark for my skin, but I see this suiting tanned and darker much much better. I also found it tricky to blend I found once applied to the skin it stuck to where ever I put it and took some real effort to blend. However, I do still use this product when going out and when I feel contouring is needed.

Overall I do like this the duo, I particularly like the blush and think it is really great for the bargain £3.75 price tag!

MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer - Funk

Afternoon beauties!

I don't think I've been this impressed with a Lipstick/gloss/lacquer in such a long time, I've had my eye on these for such a long time too. I picked this up this week, tried it the last couple of days and I've fallen head over heals in velvet love!

I haven't seen any reviews of this product yet, although I'm sure there is a ton. I was drawn to the frosted packaging and the word luxe the most. As with most products I buy I didn't know what to expect. The doe footed applicater is perfect and easy to use, the colour is a gorgeous blue toned classic barbie pink which I think is relevant at all times of the year and the finish is amazing.

It starts off wet looking and dries into an amazing matte velvet finish that is slightly drying but I can see this lasting all day. I love everything about it, i've eaten, drank and even kissed and this lip lacquer hasn't budged! Too top it all off it cost £3!! What a bargain.

Have you tried these Lip lacquers? What did you think?

Cranberry Joy - Body, Room & Linen Spray

Hey beauties!

I recently reviewed the Cranberry Joy lipbalm from The body shop and today I am reviewing the Cranberry Joy - Body, Room & Linen spray. A little bit different from my normal post as it's not particularly beauty related.

The spray itself is £6.00 for 100ml which is amazing, most sprays as versatile as this are super expensive. The bottle is glass and has a very light spray feature which leaves no blobs of spray (fabreeze I'm looking at you.) The liquid inside also lasts a very long time too I've had mine 2 weeks and I've hardly made a dent. The smell is a fresh fruity berry scent perfect for all times of the year but even more lovely at Christmas.  I spray this all over my bedding when I get out of bed and make it in the morning and also on my dressing gown so when I get home from work and open my bedroom door I'm hit with this gorgeous scent it really does last a very long time.

P.S A little bit of advice look out for sales over the next few weeks between 30% and 50% off on the website, I have a sneeky feeling it will be just before Christmas or just after! were you will be able to pick this up for as little as £3.00! I've also seen this in the summer sales for under £2.00!

Do you use room sprays? If so which are your favourite?

ChapStick Hot Lips Kit

Hello beauties,

While snooping about in superdrugg before work I spotted this gorgeous little ChapStick tin, I thought the floral print was darling and just had to have it, It reminds me of Kath Kidston or something you would find in john lewis.

In side are three full sized ChapSticks, Now, I hadn't used ChapStick since I was about 13! So I didn't know what to expect but I pleasantly surprised to say that I LOVE them, they are super moisturising, smell divine and taste great( not that I advise eating them!) The 3 lips you recieve are Strawberry, Cherry and Apple!

I just think this would make the cutest last minute stocking filler or gift for yourself over Christmas, The price was also £3.99 which I don't think is bad at all,

Have you tried ChapStick? If so what's your favourite flavour?

ELF Long-lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow

Recently Elf had an amazing 50% off sale which I took full advantage of as I was in need of some mineral foundation and concealer, to get the deal you needed to spend over £20 which I need with ease.

I picked up this Eyeshadow expecting it to be a powder, when it arrived I eagerly opened it inside I found it was a soft mouse like texture, which reminds of Maybelline Dream mouse eyeshadows from years ago. It's not my favourite texture to use but I find this one pleasant enough.

The colour is perfect for the holiday season and will see you straight through to valentines day if a little bit of glitter is what you enjoy! A white pearl base infused with a soft glitter that's not gritty or chunky. I love layering this over any eyeshadow neutrals, smokey, darks and even just on top of a skin toned primer. I simply use my ring finger and gently pat it on top, I find this gives you just enough, you could of course go heavy with this eyeshadow but because of the mouse texture I would worry that it would crease and move. I also think if used correctly and with a very light hand it would make a perfect brow and cupids bow highlighter!

Whats you're favourite elf product?

Glossybox Christmas 2013

I'm over the moon with this months Glossybox! How stunning is the Seche nail polish? I'm so excited about using it as I've heard nothing but good things about them. I feel like the soap is a little bit of a change which is nice, it looks and smells heavenly! I also think it was great that they added a razor I've not ever used one quite as big as this one so that will be interesting! I will probably review each item in turn of the next few weeks so keep a look out for that!

Did you get the same as me in your glossybox this month? If not what else did you get?

VO5 'Give Me Texture' Spray

Hey beauties!

I've always loved the idea of texturing sprays, but sadly I hate the wet feeling the majority leave behind. I'm an avid youtube watcher too so when people were talking about Oribe Texturizing Spray my ears perked up, something that gave me tousled messy but controlled hair? Yes please. Only downside was the price as we are saving for our first home together it was just too out of my budget! However, when looking through superdrug the other day I spotted VO5 (my all time favourite hair brand might I add.) was doing 2 items for £5 safe to say I went mad. This is one of the products I picked up!

Claiming to; Give you a tousled effect, Helps washed hair hold its style, and picks up limp hair. Practically the same claims as Oribe! Perfect. I didn't want to use this on my just washed hair as I've got a thing about my just washed hair being completely natural. I don't add anything until a day or two later. So I did as usual, brush, dry shampoo, brush now normally I would leave it here but I added this texturing spray and oh boy, I love it.

The spray itself reminds me of a dry oil, but once on the hair it's not even noticeable, what it does do however is give my hair an added omph! through the roots and the mid-lenghs which I so desperately need, what it doesn't do is provide me with a tousled effect BUT my hair is impossibly straight at the best of times so I can forgive that! Over all I'm in love with this product and I think it would be the perfect thing to throw into your handbag for easy transitioning from day time to night time! I will be stocking up on more too see me through the Christmas party season!

Have you tried any VO5 products? if so which is your favourite?

The Body Shop - Mango x3 Review!

Hey beauties,

Let's all pretend I don't have a really big problem when it comes to The Body Shop sales. Especially when they have 50% off and free shipping, It would be rude of me not to take advantage. I love to buy the whole collections e.g Shower Gel, Body Lotion(body butter is too thick for me) and/or the Perfume/bodyspray. This time round I went for the Mango set and will more then likely be picking up the strawberry and pink grapefruit in the near future. I'm also actually collecting these as I am moving out soon and don't ever want to run out. Hilarious and obsessive but very very true.

Mmmm, The smell of this is stunning, fruity yet floral with a sweet hit which reminds me slightly of honey. It also reminds me of a tropical drink but apparently its not fit for consumption so I won't be testing it. When used with a shower Lily (this.) in the shower it really wakes you up and makes you feel ready for the day. The bubbles are smooth and lovely full of gorgeous Mango seed oil making it perfefctly moisturising!

While this is still as fruity and exotic as it's bubblier counterpart this lotion holds a very warm, creamy and comforting scent that really reminds me of holidays by a beach maybe even a little bit of suncream but not in an awful way. It sinks in quickly leaving my skin feeling super soft and smelling utterly heavenly!

This is probably the strongest body shop body spray I've smelt when it is first sprayed I'd even go as far as too say its slightly too overpowering! but once it's mellowed out slightly you are left with a gorgeous almost floral mango scent what I would imagine a mango leaf to smell like, although it says there is sugarcane extracts I would probably say it smells more like vanilla to me not sweet like you would imagine. This is probably my least favourite of the bunch but it wouldn't be a set without it lol!

What's your favourite Body Shop Scent!?

Revlon Colorstay - Ultimate Suede - Couture

Hello beauties!

While shopping the other day I spotted this colorstay Suede lipstick by Revlon and it really intrigued me, I've heard of velvet and matte lipstick's but never suede. So I was excited to see what the finish would look like.

The colour I chose is Couture which in the bullet looks like a gorgeous ruby red with a slight pink tone but once applied to the lips it's more on the pink side. The finish however is less matte then I imagined in fact it is slightly glossy, the formula is hard to work with as it doesn't apply very evenly and the lipstick has a tendency to flake which can be annoying as it leaves a stain after seconds. I wouldn't suggest this lipstick to any with dry lips the first time I applied I used a balm first and it looked really bad. I then wiped it all off a exfoliated my lips dried and then applied and it was much better. It also lasts a good few hours before it starts to fade but like I said it leaves a lovely stain!

All in all I really like this lipstick IF it is applied correctly.
Have you tried any Suede lipsticks? What are you thoughts?

Lush Snow Fairy.

Hello beauties!

I think the whole world and its nan have now heard and love Snow fairy! Very rarely I hear of someone not like it, so I thought I would add my 2 pence!

Shall we start with the smell? It's sickly sweet but I love itt, Pear drops the most recognisable scent and one of my all time favourite sweets, it also contains a healthy dose of candyfloss that will excite all sweet toothed ladies! I love to use this a shower gel but also as a bubble bath, It fills the room with its gorgeous sugery scent and gives the most divine bubbles. The feeling of the skin when you have used it either way is left really soft and the scent lingers just enough. Although I would love it to be a little stronger like The body shop shower gels, I adore this little shower gel and look forward to buying it every Christmas! I just wish they would make a shampoo/conditioner with the scent! Yum.

Do you ladies love Snow Fairy as much as me? or is it not your cup of tea?!

Revlon ColourStay Foundation - Ivory

Afternoon beauties!

I've had my eye on this foundation for the longest time now, but the £12.99 price tag was putting me off as I was saving up to buy Estee lauder double wear. However it was my birthday last weekend so I took the plunge as it was 3 for 2!

The foundation bottle itself feels super lovely, made from thick glass it feels more expensive then it is. I also think it looks more high end. The foundation is a full coverage which I was looking for as i'd never tried on before however, when applying this for the first time I realised it wasn't as full coverage as I would have liked. redness was rapidly reduced but spots and other blemishes were still a little noticeable once I applied my Collection concealer and powder it was perfect, It also claims to last 24 hours I wore it all day yesterday and it didn't budge. The colour itself is perfect for us pink toned pale girls, if you pink toned but pale like me you will know how hard it to find a great foundation like this at a great price!

What I was hoping for out of this foundation was a cheaper Estee Lauder Double wear with a little bit more coverage. Although this finish and feel is completely different it is great alternative!

Did you take advantage of the Revlon 3 for 2?

Maybelline 10 hour Tint Gloss - Timeless Plum

Hey beauties!

I've got a new obsession! I adore these super stay tint glosses from Maybelline at the moment and I've picked up a few which I will review each in turn as they are all so gorgeous they deserve their own post!

Kicking it off with this Timeless plum shade which is absolutely spot on for this season, that perfect gothicly plum shade that suits most skintones effortlessly. These gorgeous tints come in 5 luscious colours which anyone would enjoy using. I think the fact that these can be built up for a more bolder colour or left with one layer for a more subtle colour is what will appeal to most people. Although your lips will need a balm before hand to smooth out any dry areas.

The application brush is tuliped shaped with a hole in the middle that hold a large but not too much amount tint. I find for my fuller lip the applicator is perfect and I can get really neat lines on the edges. I think because of the dark colour you can slightly notice it sinking into lines but I find no bleeding which is always a bonus. The longevity is good but not 10 hours I notice it start to fade after about 4 hours or when eating and drinking but all in all I'm in love with these tint glosses, effortless colour that isn't too in your face and bold but still packs a punch.

Have you tried anything from the Maybelline Super Stay range?
